Every shift, this position greets patients warmly upon arrival and directs them efficiently across clinic spaces, rooms patients for exams, collects medical histories including chief complaints, and prepares individuals for treatments in rooms filled with exam tables and medical carts. Primary approaches include reviewing electronic health records for chart completion, responding to phone calls from patients and insurers, coordinating hospital consultations, and documenting appointment statuses like no-shows using clinic software.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in a professional and engaging manner
  • Fax labs and hospital reports including operative reports
  • Clinic chart prep by reviewing charts daily for visits
  • Liaison for athletic trainers, school athletes, and outside offices for Sports MDs
  • Work no-shows per no-show protocols and document in chart
  • Coordinate Hospital Consult calls with On Call Physician when records are required
  • Provide exceptional patient care including rooming patients and escorting to ancillary services
  • Obtain patient medical histories, chief complaints, and prepare patients for examination
  • Review patient charts and files for completeness
  • Respond to patient or payor phone calls
  • Assist physicians with other clinic operations activities

Requirements
