Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in major projects
- Generate rolling financial, project, construction, production, and workforce forecasts
- Perform work involving conventional engineering practice with complex features
- Manage detailed engineering for development projects including drill and blast design
- Manage development projects including long- and short-range design execution
- Perform long- and short-range development forecasts
- Conduct ventilation audits and efficiency suggestions
- Handle infrastructure design and coordination with host site
- Manage junior engineers across projects and foster teamwork
- Perform month end cost review, accounting, and analysis across projects
- Assist in development and maintenance of financial models
- Review, generate, presentation, and tracking of AFE documents and projects
- Generate and maintain benchmarking KPI’s
- Foster collaboration between teams and operations
- Execute in development and sustainability of the projects pipeline
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering
- 6 years of experience in Underground Mining
- Ventilation experience preferred
- Minimum two years of mine design and scheduling
- Minimum two years of Project Management or execution experience
- Technical communication and presentation skills
- Expert knowledge in engineering and design
- Mining or heavy mineral industry experience
- Ability to operate in MS Office, Deswik software suite, and VentSim preferred
- Strong communication and team fostering skills
