This position supervises testing teams for iron-air battery development, from cell-level to full-system scale, ensuring reliability through end-of-line procedures. It supports production scaling by delegating resources, mentoring staff, and training on equipment like electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems. Work maintains secure electric grids during stress periods with multi-day storage solutions.
Form Energy develops cost-effective energy storage for reliable electric grids, producing iron-air batteries in a 550,000-square-foot facility in Weirton, West Virginia, serving leading US utilities.
Daily duties include overseeing 6-12 technicians in testing, installing equipment, troubleshooting, and contributing to process refinements. Interactions occur with assemblers, management, and facilities teams in a collaborative environment. A constraint involves adapting to evolving procedures without full system definitions yet.

Responsibilities
- Supervise 6-12 in daily testing activities from cell to full-system scale
- Delegate resources and priorities for end-of-line testing
- Scale testing processes to match production volumes at Form Factory 1
- Train technicians on equipment and procedures
- Provide support and troubleshooting for testing equipment and processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes

Requirements
- Applied experience in electrical, mechanical, or chemical process environments
- Practical experience in lab testing or general factory fabrication
