Conducting neurological diagnostics at Intrepid Spirit Centers, this role performs EEGs and evoked potentials to support evaluations for anomalous health incidents, aiding service members with accurate assessments that inform treatments for neurological symptoms. The technology speeds up diagnoses, improving recovery for patients affected by rare events.

Technicians perform scheduled and unscheduled services under neurologist direction, conduct tests like neurofeedback and EEGs, prepare rooms and patients, record vitals and measurements, assist in procedures, educate on wellness, maintain equipment, ensure documentation in MHS Genesis, respond to portal messages within business day, and support other departments. Tools include diagnostic equipment and software like MHS Genesis, involving patient preparations, vital checks, and coordination with medical teams, with challenges in meeting clinical standards and handling diverse cases.

Requirements

  • Certificate from CAAHEP-accredited program
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Board-certified by ABRET for EEG and/or NCS or EP
  • 12 months neurology technician experience within past 24 months
  • 1 year supervisory and trainer experience in neurology lab
