Job Description
This role addresses critical patient safety by repairing infusion pumps that deliver precise medication dosages in healthcare settings. Technicians perform detailed repairs and analyses on medical devices to ensure accurate performance and prevent complications during patient care.
ICU Medical develops and markets medical devices focused on infusion therapy, including pumps used in hospitals worldwide. The company designs products that support intravenous drug delivery and specialty care in acute and non-acute settings.
Employees troubleshoot customer device returns to identify root causes, conduct level 0 and level 1 product complaint investigations, and refurbish pumps using electro-mechanical tools and calibration equipment. They interact with senior technicians, QA teams, and customer service while complying with cGMP regulations. One challenge involves lifting 30-40 lbs during repairs in a service repair hub environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex work related to the repair, rework, refurbishment, or upgrades of medical devices
- Troubleshoot and analyze customer device returns to problem solve root cause issues
- Comply with all requirements in the Quality and Operational procedures meeting cGMP compliance
- Perform Level 0 and Level 1 PCI investigations
- Assist with notebook/engineering studies, out of box failures analysis, and yield improvement activity
- May perform troubleshooting and repair of devices onsite at customer locations
- Work with Manager and QA to identify and resolve process and/or product non-conformities
- Assist Senior Technicians or Engineering with on-the-job training activities
- Clean the assigned work area daily
- Work on special projects as they arise
- Document repair, refurbishment, rework, and labor tracking using Oracle device tracking system
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- A.S. degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing, service repair, or related environment
- Proficient with cGMP, process, and product knowledge
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to edit written process documentation
- Must be at least 18 years of age
