The Policy Enforcement Manager ensures violative content does not appear on video platforms by reviewing guidelines and evaluating abuse patterns. Users gain a safer space for expression and creativity through continuous monitoring. This involves using machine learning, SQL, and Python for data analysis and dashboard creation.

Daily tasks include researching trends, tracking metrics with darkboards, overseeing vendor quality through calibrations, and handling escalations quickly. Professionals review offensive content in line with guidelines, which may include graphic material. They work with policy, engineering, and legal teams on strategic solutions. The position entails on-call availability and dealing with controversial videos.
The US base salary spans $110,000-$157,000, enhanced by bonus and equity. Full-time roles provide benefits including health and professional growth opportunities. Schedules accommodate cross-functional collaboration in dynamic settings.
Responsibilities
- Research and stay up-to-date on key trends and suspicious patterns across policy areas. Track and monitor performance towards key metrics, deliver and implement improvement strategies
- Oversee enforcement quality across policy areas, including calibrations with vendor teams. Handle escalations with fast turn-around time to define the best plan and implement quickly. Provide timely updates to executives
- Work cross-functionally, think strategically, and keep our users safe while protecting free speech
- Review controversial and offensive video content in-line with YouTube’s Community Guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cyber-security, or related fields
- Master's degree
- Experience with machine learning
- Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g., Python)
- Ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels
- Excellent communication and presentation (written and verbal) skills
