Job Description
Engineers lay out land development plans that support commercial and residential projects across the Pacific Northwest. Designers handle site designs for district energy facilities, utility grids, and trails, progressing from feasibility studies to construction support. These efforts ensure resilient infrastructure for communities while aligning with federal, state, and local regulations.
KPFF Consulting Engineers functions as a multi-office firm serving diverse projects since 1960, with 1,400 professionals in 30 offices across the industry. The firm emphasizes decentralization for professional growth and project impact.
Work involves applying engineering principles to create drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D software and participating in client meetings onsite. Teams collaborate with architects, landscape architects, and project managers, refining designs from concept to completion. A typical challenge includes navigating regulatory approvals for varied infrastructure systems.
Compensation offers an annual range of $80,200 to $90,000 plus performance-based bonuses. Roles involve office tasks with occasional site visits, providing medical insurance, dental coverage, and 401(k) plans at KPFF Consulting Engineers.
