Pilot Flying J seeks a Janitorial Maintenance worker to ensure the cleanliness of travel centers, including showers, restrooms, and store areas, directly improving hygiene for professional drivers, commuters, and vacationers. This maintenance role plays a key part in maintaining functional spaces that support quick stops for essential needs, such as fresh towels and trash removal, contributing to safe and appealing environments for all guests. By performing general repairs and upkeep on facilities like gas stations and restaurants, the worker helps resolve issues that could disrupt services, ensuring smooth operations for customers traveling across highways.

Daily tasks include cleaning showers and loading towels, maintaining store cleanliness, removing trash from centers, and performing general repairs using basic equipment. Workers use industrial tools for minor fixes, interact with team members in shared spaces, and follow schedules for nights, weekends, and holidays to uphold service standards. A primary challenge involves lifting 50 pounds repeatedly while standing for long shifts in varying weather, requiring physical stamina to meet hygiene expectations.
Compensation starts at $11.85 per hour, available in full-time or part-time positions at various locations throughout the United States. Schedules include flexible options covering nights, days, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of the store
- Cleaning showers and restroom facilities
- Washing, loading, and unloading towels for showers
- Performing general repair/maintenance of the store
- Picking up and taking all trash around travel center
- Provide excellent guest service through well-maintained facilities
Requirements
- Highly motivated self-starters
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to lift 50 pounds and walk/stand most of the day
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in a similar position preferred
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and ability to fix small problems preferred
