Job Description
Flatbed truck drivers transport materials along the I-5 corridor north from Tacoma and Lakewood to Bellingham and Ferndale.
Specialty Metals Corporation delivers metal products regionally in Washington state.
Drivers secure loads weighing up to 26,000 pounds on flatbed trailers and may perform shop duties including vehicle maintenance.
Roles involve outdoor work during all weather conditions and require standing for long periods.
Pay ranges from $23 to $30 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Drive flatbed trucks up to GVWR 26,000 pounds
- Secure loads safely
- Deliver regionally along I-5 corridor
- Assist with shop duties
Requirements
- Familiarity with the Puget Sound area including I-5 and I-405
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures
- Commitment to equipment maintenance
- Adherence to Company, local, state, and federal rules including DOT, OSHA, and more
- Current Washington State Driver’s License
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License
- At least 1 year of driving experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must pass drug test, motor vehicle record review, and background check
