HVAC mechanics repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at military bases, ensuring proper operation for over 100 facilities statewide. Technicians perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, repair condensers and pumps, test refrigerants for leaks, replace thermostats, maintain Direct Digital Control systems, plan installations, provide on-site services including minor carpentry and plumbing; order supplies, adhere to OSHA standards, and respond to emergencies. They work 10-hour shifts Tuesday through Friday, traveling up to 25% and lifting up to 125 pounds, with occasional mandatory overtime and on-call duties.
Compensation ranges from $4,263.16 to $5,330.54 monthly. Full-time role at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas with 40-hour weeks in extended shifts. Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years HVAC experience
- EPA certification
- HVAC technician registration
- Valid driver's license
