Children aged 16 months to 6 years gain independence and confidence through this role at a Montessori school, where the focus helps them develop lifelong love of learning. Typical duties include observing children to meet their needs and preparing orderly spaces that promote concentration. Compensation ranges from $18-$24 per hour depending on experience. Full-time options with Monday-Friday schedules from 8:00am to 4:30pm in center-based settings. Requirements
- Experience working with children aged 1-6 in school settings
- Experience in after school, nursery, and childcare centers
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Willingness to participate in background checks
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Age at least 18
- CPR and first aid certification (willing to obtain)
- TB test
- Patience and emotional control
- Strong attention to detail
- Technology understanding for data recording on mobile devices
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Cultural competency and flexibility
