Job Description

Children aged 16 months to 6 years gain independence and confidence through this role at a Montessori school, where the focus helps them develop lifelong love of learning. Employees guide a mixed-age group of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers aged 3-6, preparing environments that foster self-reliance and interest in materials. Guides offer individual lessons and small-group sessions, using precise language to build skills and conviction that children are capable of accomplishing tasks independently.

Compensation ranges from $18-$24 per hour depending on experience. Full-time options with Monday-Friday schedules from 8:00am to 4:30pm in center-based settings. Requirements

  • Experience working with children aged 1-6 in school settings
  • Experience in after school, nursery, and childcare centers
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to participate in background checks
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Age at least 18
  • CPR and first aid certification (willing to obtain)
  • TB test
  • Patience and emotional control
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technology understanding for data recording on mobile devices
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
