Job Description

Passengers with mobility challenges receive dedicated assistance during air travel, enabling smooth journeys from curb to aircraft. Airport support staff push wheelchairs, transport luggage, and provide professional guidance to ensure passenger safety and comfort at all transit stages.

Unifi operates Prospect International Airport Services, delivering aviation support at over 30 major airports including Chicago, Dallas, Newark, and more, with over 11,000 associates handling baggage, wheelchair assistance, lost and found, and aircraft cleaning. The company focuses on essential services at major airports across the United States.

Team members transport wheelchair users between terminals and planes, lifiting and assisting up to 70 pounds frequently. They gather chairs from concourses, push loads up to 70 pounds constantly, walk and stand extensively on hard surfaces, and work outside in weather conditions including rain or shine. Schedules include rotating shifts on mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays, with possible overtime.

Positions offer $13.00 per hour compensation with daily waged pay access. Locations span airports like Prospect International in Las Vegas, Nevada. Workers accommodate a full-time schedule with shift rotations. Responsibilities

  • Push wheelchairs for passengers requiring assistance at airports
  • Assist passengers in transporting and checking or claiming baggage
  • Lift and assist wheelchair users up or downstairs and in or out of aircraft
  • Gather wheelchairs from concourse and return to staging areas
  • Adhere to safety procedures and report incidents

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years old
  • Obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs
  • Proficient in English
  • 14 years physical requirements including lifting 70 lbs
