Job Description

UI College seeks an educational support services specialist for TRIO Upward Bound Programs to create and deliver lessons on academic success, college preparation, career exploration, and personal development during school-year after-school meetings with high school students. The specialist conducts individual coaching sessions to aid emotional, physical, occupational, and social growth, evaluates program activities, builds relationships with partners, and hires and trains undergraduate student tutors. Occasional evening and weekend events occur, including a one-week out-of-state travel commitment per summer for student-filled lodge stays and campus visits. The one-year specified term position uses Untitled tracking systems for academic performance feedback and assessment methods to improve goals.

UI College offers bachelor's degrees in clinical and translational science, leadership studies, nonprofit management, and sustainability, with numerous courses spanning units. The specialist develops after-school lessons using TRIO pillars, mentors students on academic objectives, and communicates performance objectives with support. Responsibilities
