Supervising adolescents with addiction in a residential setting promotes recovery through daily counseling and therapeutic activities, addressing the cycle of substance abuse that affects families and communities. This role coordinates individual, group, and educational sessions using evidence-based therapies within a safe environment at the Griffin Williamson Campus in Rockford, Illinois. Teams deliver services to clients and families, integrating principles like Alcoholics Anonymous steps into daily living.

Daily duties include direct supervision, behavioral interventions, implementing recreational and therapeutic activities, and consulting with counselors on treatment plans. Specialists consult with clinical teams, read logs from previous shifts, oversee unit cleanliness and equipment, serve on clinical teams, ensure compliance with corporate compliance programs, and perform general cleaning. A challenge is maintaining a zero-tolerance drug-free environment, including marijuana, as part of safety protocols.
Starting pay is $18.43 per hour for high school graduates, $19.37 for associates, $20.25 for bachelor's, plus $0.50 with CADC certification, and shift differentials of $0.25 for second shift and $0.50 for third. Work schedule is Friday to Tuesday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm onsite only, with a $2,000 sign-on bonus paid within first nine months. Responsibilities
- Oversee adolescent clients struggling with addiction through daily counseling including individual, group, and educational activities
- Deliver comprehensive treatment services to integrate recovery principles into daily lives
- Provide support to clients and families navigating challenges of addiction
- Supervise and manage client behavior with appropriate interventions and consequences
- Implement therapeutic activities and coordinate client recreational activities
- Monitor clients via consultation with counselors and development of individual plans, scheduling sessions for AA step work and treatment objectives
- Develop and present all client lectures listed on the schedule
- Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics and facilitate focal discussions
- Consult with treatment team and plan therapeutic direction for designated shift
- Read logs from previous shifts to obtain pertinent information
- Oversee unit neatness and proper use of equipment and supplies, informing for repairs
- Serve on Clinical Team and participate in meetings and activities
- Comply with principles of corporate compliance program and code of conduct

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of addiction treatment experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
- Own transportation
- Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or able to obtain within 24 months
- Skilled in behavioral management techniques
- Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents, and community resources
