Job Description
Nurse Practitioners conduct physical health assessments for military reservists, documenting readiness through interviews and record reviews using proprietary systems. Contractors support the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP), evaluating medical histories to classify deployability needs. DOCS Health delivers mobile medical services to military branches, including Army Reserve and Air National Guard, with fixed clinics and telemedicine across the U.S.
Assessments identify behavioral health concerns and document results, primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays. Travel to remote installations requires adaptability, working extended hours in varied locations. Collaboration with supervising physicians occurs per state rules, using basic computer skills for reports without prescribing medications.
Independent contractor pay is not specified, with availability preferred on weekends. CPR/BLS certification is mandatory, along with active NP licenses in North Carolina. Background checks and drug screenings apply for conditional offers. Benefits focus on equal opportunity without additional perks, emphasizing experience in primary care, urgent care, or occupational health for military protocols.
