Work includes diagnostic duties on aircraft systems, compliance with FAR 43 documentation, ordering parts with core returns, ensuring Quality Control procedures, correcting unsafe acts, assisting mechanics and avionic technicians, inspecting vehicles with fluid checks, tire pressures, repairs. Challenge involves coordinating with diverse jet, turboprop, piston aircraft in mobile service. Requires FAR Part 145 knowledge, minimum 2 years experience in diversified maintenance or sheet metal.
Various shifts full-time onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana, with up to $15,000 Sign On Bonus. Prefer 3 years Textron experience. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on various aircraft models
- Disassemble, repair, replace, reassembly, adjust aircraft systems
- Ensure work completion in accordance with policies, procedures, quality standards
- Check, correct, replace complex assemblies and systems
- Ensure compliance with FAR 43 documentation in logs and inspection documents
- Order and obtain parts for repairs, return cores
- Ensure maintenance, preventive maintenance, alterations, services comply with Quality Control procedures
- Monitor work environment and correct unsafe acts
- Work as team to meet customer expectations, assist mechanics and avionic technicians
- Assist Lead in inspecting, maintaining, servicing equipment and tooling in mobile service vehicle
- Ensure vehicle at safe operating condition with proper fluid levels, tire pressures, inspections, repairs
Requirements
- High school education or GED
- Airframe and Powerplant License
- Knowledge of Inspection Procedures in FAR Part 145
- Minimum 2 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft maintenance or sheet metal maintenance
- 3 years of Textron experience preferred
