Associate teachers implement developmentally appropriate curricula for school-age children up to 13 years, fostering social-emotional development in safe, supervised environments.
Catalyst Family Inc. operates childcare programs accommodating infants to school-age kids across locations, focusing on positive development through enriched, supportive environments.
Teachers facilitate age-appropriate activities outdoors and indoors, supervise at all times ensuring safety with physical interactions like lifting up to 15 lbs, interact respectfully, maintain environments free of hazards using cones, traverse terrains including grass and ladders, adapt to child levels for play, support field trips to parks, handle emergencies calmly, collaborate with teams for quality programs.

- Create and implement curriculum connected to interests, promote child development
- Maintain intentional, enriched environments age-appropriate for all children
- Establish authentic, culturally responsive relationships with children, families, teams
- Ensure supervision, positive interactions, habits, compliance for health and safety
- Collaborate with colleagues to connect values, education for quality programs
- Demonstrate positive interactions maintaining safe environments
- Be on time, present regularly
- Participate in outdoor and indoor programs
- Physically and mentally interact with children up to 13, meet needs, ensure safety
- Implement safety guidelines, report issues, provide first aid
Requirements
- 12-24 postsecondary semester or quarter units in ECE, CD, related field with C- or better grades
- Associate Teacher Permit or higher from California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- 6-12 months experience in group care for consistent age groups preferred
- Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, classroom management, communication
- Organization in time management, curriculum, documentation like portfolios
- Ability to collaborate professionally
- Bilingual/multilingual preferred
- Adult and infant/child CPR/First Aid preferred
