Job Description
This role designs and teaches culinary programs for youth to build cooking skills in a fun camp environment. Instructors prepare recipes, supervise sessions, and ensure food safety for campers aged 3rd to 6th grade. The position supports creativity and self-confidence through hands-on kitchen activities.
Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City operates J Camp with specialty sessions focused on skill-building. The camp runs sessions from June to July,. engaging children in themed recipes and instruction while adhering to Kosher practices.
Activities involve shopping for ingredients, leading morning sessions from 8:15am-1pm, teaching prep, cooking, and cleanup, and collaborating with counselors for food packaging.
