Job Description
Retail teams achieve sales targets in footwear outlets across the East Region by executing operational plans that enhance store productivity. This leadership role oversees growth in dealership factories through revenue operations, aiming to exceed back-door wholesale and front-door retail sales. Directors advise dealer partners on strategies like financial health assessments and long-term goals to align with corporate visions.
Red Wing Shoe Company operates globally with 2,300 employees, focusing on innovation in product solutions and customer experiences while maintaining a family atmosphere. Headquartered in Red Wing, Minnesota, the company specializes in specialty retail footwear, including safety boots and workwear, with a history of tradition blended with growth opportunities. Red Wing emphasizes employee engagement through values like Living Our Values and Center on Customers.
Daily activities encompass analyzing store performance using KPIs via Excel and PowerPoint reports sent via Outlook, collaborating with cross-functional teams in Revenue Operations, Retail Creation, and Legal on white space strategies for new dealers. Directors facilitate annual business reviews to identify growth potentials, requiring presentations to senior management in dealership communities. They manage regional teams by enforcing policies in Standard Operating Procedures, including staff hiring through tools like LinkedIn, while forecasting budgets analyzing variances in spreadsheets. Travel at 40% includes business trips to Red Wing, MN, and regional hubs, with a location near major airports. One challenge lies in balancing operations across multiple locations while fostering employee growth through coaching on talent management programs.
The full-time position offers a salary range of $126,000-$170,000 annually, determined by qualifications, experience, and location in the Midwest or East Coast. Flexible location options within the East Region, near major travel hubs, with hybrid potential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, health savings accounts, life disability insurance, 401K match, employee discounts, paid time off and holidays, wellness benefits like free EAP services and financial planning, and clearances through background checks.
