This leader manages depot repair programs across NAVSUP and DLA, ensuring schedules, costs, and technical performance meet goals. It establishes visions, inspires teams, and prepares corrective plans for issues. Work enhances execution with leadership and customer relations for DoD solutions.
V2X supports engineering and depot solutions in Indianapolis, focusing on modernization and sustainment for diverse military services including USA, USAF, USMC, and USN.
Responsibilities include chairing Configuration Control Boards, leading reviews, maintaining customer relationships, preparing briefings, owning earned value and estimates, managing risks, delegating tasks, coordinating communications, and understanding financial status with Microsoft Office tools. Desired experience in DoD, EVMS, R&O management, and clearances.
Requires 10+ years experience, 7+ in engineering design, 5+ leading teams, EVMS proficiency, ethical values, communication skills, US Citizen with DoD Secret clearance. Desired STEM degree or masterâs; work in Indianapolis with potential travel.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for program cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Provide programmatic and limited technical direction
- Chair program Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and participate in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs)
- Lead internal and external Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and participate in TIMs
- Maintain relationship with customers, chief engineers, and functional leaders
- Prepare status or briefings for management
- Responsible for program Earned Value (EV) and Estimates at Complete (EAC)
- Own program Risks and Opportunities
- Act as the face of the company to senior customers
- Work with all functions to successfully plan and execute programs
- Elevate issues and risks to appropriate levels
- Lead technical collaboration on new opportunities
- Effectively delegate tasking
- Coordinate customer communications
- Understand program financial and performance status
Requirements
- Ten (10) or more years of relevant work experience
- Seven (7) or more years successful engineering design, development, and transition to production experience
- Seven (7) or more years successful leadership experience leading cross functional teams
- Experience leading development teams and system requirements management
- Experience utilizing program management practices including scheduling, earned value management systems (EVMS), financial systems and program control, risk and opportunity (R&O) management
- Entrepreneurial minded individual with experience growing business
- Sound ethical values built upon trust, respect and âdoing the right thingâ
- Effective communication and computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate at multiple levels
- US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
- Desirable: Seven (7) or more years DoD program management or IPT experience
- Desirable: Mechanical and/or electrical product development leadership
- Desirable: Experience with DoD 5000 lifecycle model and uniform/civilian acquisition
- Desired: Experience on DoD IRAD, CRAD, TD, SDD or EMD Programs
- Desired: Experience with weapon systems or special mission platforms
- Desired: Familiarity with Counter Air Systems including Radar/EO-IR/RF detection
- Desired: Experience with domestic & international allied customers
- Desired: STEM degree and/or experience
- Desired: Capture/proposal development experience with Basis of Estimates
