Job Description
Analysts develop behavior support plans for children with autism, using ABA principles to reduce problem behaviors through data-driven adjustments. BCBAs conduct functional assessments and summarize findings in reports tailored to client needs. Northwell Health provides comprehensive healthcare across New York with 23 hospitals and 700+ facilities, specializing in research, education, and patient-centered care including behavioral health services.
Supervisors oversee implementation teams, training staff on de-escalation and prevention strategies via in-person sessions. Monitoring data involves ongoing evaluations, with moves to North Carolina requiring LBA certification. Full-time equivalents range 20-35 hours weekly, constrained by caseload variability and unpredictable adjustments.
Hourly rates range from $75 to $90, with factors like location and experience affecting totals. Schedules follow Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM patterns. Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- LBA Certification
- Preferred: Minimum one-year experience post-certification
- Preferred: Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities
