Job Description

Coordinators manage communications for nursing departments. They compose correspondence, handle calls, fax, email, purchase supplies, check requests, obtain quotes, renew clinical affiliations. Coordinators teach workshops, assist planners, track statistics, monitor websites, manage offices, develop lists, build courses in Banner, enter certificates, assist orientations, guide tours, demonstrate equipment, manage paperwork, assist coordinators, arrange materials, maintain property, administer background checks, serve liaisons, assist pinning. This supports student success in nursing programs across Louisiana Technical Community College.

Assist orientations. Guide tours, perform demonstrations. Assist tests. Coordinate paperwork, secure data. Assemble documents, arrange rooms, refreshments, catering, janitorial, hotels. Maintain control. Serve liaisons for TESTS. Assist coordinators. Attendees recruiters, Ops Houses, Care Fairs. Order manage merchandising. Assist grants. Coordinate pickups. Serve contact Xero supplies. Demonstrate respects guests, students from backgrounds, communicate effectively, attend activities, share ideas, goals, serve research committees. Participate develop activities, represent positives, adhere policies, complete required trainings. Staff must have associate degree, 5 years experience or bachelor degree 10 years experience, excellent interpersonal computer oral written skills, knowledge Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, willing flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Compose correspondence from Dean and faculty to individuals, community agencies, professional organizations
  • Handle correspondence (written, telephone, fax, e-mail)
  • Answer multi-line telephone, receiving calls from off campus and on campus screen, route calls
  • Assist the Dean and Directors submit requisitions and check requests
  • Order supplies, equipment, subscriptions
  • Obtain quotes as needed
  • Collect and Distribute supplies as received
  • Welcome visitors to Department office, including students, prospective students, parents, staff
  • Provide information to prospective students, general public, faculty, affiliated agencies
  • Manage and update personnel files
  • Maintain, renew, existing clinical affiliation agreements
  • Receive and process VSL program applications and arrange classes
  • Assist with advising process
  • Monitor and report changes for programs brochure, website, catalog
  • Manage assignments, ordering keys, telephone moves, updates
  • Develop and update mailing lists
  • Build workforce programs sections courses and some credit courses in Banner
  • Enter Industry Based Certifications in Banner
  • Assist Enrollment Services with new student orientations
  • Guide campus tours for groups and individuals
  • Perform demonstrations of simulation equipment
  • Assist LA NACT testing coordinator
  • Coordinate paperwork of new faculty, securing data forms from prospective faculty
  • Assure new faculty have personnel files with documentation to meet health and state board requirements
  • Assemble materials, documents, packets for meetings
  • Arrange refreshments or catering when necessary
  • Assist in scheduling individual and group meetings for accreditation site visits
  • Arrange catering, janitorial services, hotel arrangements
  • Maintain all property control for Division
  • Serve as department liaison between drug screening companies and BR Solutions
  • Serve as department Safety Liaison
  • Assist coordinators as needed with pinning ceremonies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate degree with five years experience or Bachelor degree
  • Five years administrative support experience
  • Knowledge Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • Willing to work flexible hours
