Family Health Services - Front Office Receptionist

Family Health Services

Front Office Receptionist

Jerome, Idaho, United States

Job Description

The position handles administrative tasks at a family health clinic to manage patient flow and information access through phone calls, visitor greetings, and appointment scheduling. Patients benefit by receiving timely directions and reminders, cutting down on missed visits that affect their treatment plans. Approaches involve directing calls to staff like nurses or providers, verifying insurance details, and entering data into billing systems for accurate records.

Family Health Services specializes in medical and behavioral health care across clinics. It serves communities with bilingual services in English and Spanish, maintaining patient-centered medical homes for comprehensive support.

Activities include answering phones to route messages, distributing mail and correspondence, and operating computers for data entry using Microsoft programs. Workers maintain file systems for medical records, prepare charts with lab and x-ray reports, and remind patients of appointments via calls. Interactions involve collaborating with providers, nurses, and patients daily. A constraint emerges when handling walk-ins, requiring consultation with supervisors to avoid overloading provider schedules.

Compensation starts at $16.50 to $18.25 per hour, depending on experience, with quarterly bonuses up to $520. The role is onsite at the Jerome clinic with no listed travel. Full-time hours cover standard shifts in a medical environment. Benefits align with company policies for medical and behavioral health services, including participation in Medicare compliance and PCMH initiatives.
