Job Description
This role transports admitting and discharging patients using company vehicles, ensuring safe and timely travel to and from the hospital campuses. Drivers complete transportation documentation and maintain vehicle cleanliness to support patient recovery journeys. The work addresses mobility needs at a 260-bed addiction treatment center spanning three campuses in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Founded in 1984, the center has expanded from 22 beds to 260 beds across multiple locations. Teams focus on helping patients recover from addiction while maintaining a close-knit community feel.
In this position, professionals drive patients between admitting and discharging points, adhere to on-call schedules, and log all trips accurately. They clean vehicles daily and respond to facility requests promptly. Resources include company vehicles, first aid kits, and documentation forms. Interactions occur with patients, medical staff, and facility managers. A challenge involves obtaining or requesting exemptions for COVID-19 vaccination to comply with health protocols.
