Job Description
Military aircraft maintenance teams benefit from sales efforts that secure advanced modular platforms for technicians fixing complex machinery. This position cultivates relationships to deliver custom proposals solving tricky repair challenges using aluminum structures and electrical systems.
FlexDecks Inc. develops and manufactures maintenance platforms for military and commercial sectors. They serve global clients including aerospace firms, pioneering innovations for fuel cells and heavy maintenance equipment.
Sales reps qualify leads via cold calls and networking, prepare technical proposals for customer consultations, travel 50-70% for site visits including demonstrations using tools like ladder climber and PPE, negotiate contracts while collaborating with project managers and engineers. They maintain databases in Salesforce or CRM systems, attend training sessions, and follow processes for OSHA compliance. A key challenge involves balancing 300+lb bucket truck operations at heights with overnight travel demands in fluctuating temperatures.
Compensation varies based on experience with 3+ years in industry or equivalent education. Roles require overnight travel up to 70% and on-call status without remote options. Schedules include flexible hours often extending to evenings. Benefits feature competitive perks like variable frequency drive knowledge bonuses, company-provided safety gear including hearing protection and hard hats, plus professional development via sales workshops.
