Medical Assistant Full Time Mid-Level ~ $35,000 - $50,000/yr
Murfreesboro, Tennessee, United States

Job Description

All day long, this role escorts patients from waiting rooms to exam rooms, takes medical histories, measures vital signs, prepares individuals for examinations, reviews patient charts in detail, and equips exam spaces for procedures including injections and X-rays. Such tasks empower patients with musculoskeletal disorders to receive timely care and live more active lives. The core methods involve administering injections, removing casts and dressings, preparing prescriptions, scheduling surgeries, coordinating insurance for operations, and maintaining orders for clinical supplies.

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance operates as the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee, with over 20 locations spread across the state. The team focuses on diagnosing and treating injuries and disorders of bones, joints, muscles, and other musculoskeletal structures to help patients regain mobility.

In daily work, staff uses electronic health records to document patient interactions and update charts after each visit. Team members handle phone calls from patients and insurance providers, review incoming faxes, prepare prescriptions under physician direction, and order medical supplies and equipment through specified vendors. Interactions occur with clinical staff for procedure support, administrative teams for scheduling consultations, and physicians for direct care coordination. Workers manage high patient volumes in clinics, leading to long hours on feet and the need to adapt quickly to sudden changes in appointment timings.

Compensation details are not provided in the listing. The position operates across over 20 Tennessee locations full-time, with schedules varying based on clinic needs. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) plan with company match, safe harbor match, and profit-sharing match options. Professional development requires participation in continuing education to maintain certifications like CPR.
