This role maintains fresh dairy products on shelves, ensuring families access nutritious items like milk and eggs daily. By rotating inventory and removing outdated goods, associates prevent food waste and promote healthy eating in community stores.
Harmons operates multiple grocery stores in Utah, specializing in fresh perishables and grocery essentials. The company serves local communities by providing dairy, produce, meats, and bakery items that support daily needs.
Employees receive, stock, and rotate products such as milk, eggs, yogurt, and butter in cooler units, pull expired items from shelves, and assist with ordering based on sales data. They interact with customers for inquiries and with vendors for deliveries, using math skills for inventory tracking. A challenge includes maneuvering heavy cartons weighing up to 50 pounds in cold, slippery areas.
Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $18.46 per hour. Full-time shifts in a dairy department with weekend, evening, and holiday availability. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid time off upon eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality and freshness of dairy products
- Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels
- Confirm pricing accuracy and signage
- Ensure department is cleaned and sanitized daily
- Receive, store, and stock dairy products including milk, eggs, juice, yogurt, butter
- Pull out of date product from shelves
- Assist Dairy Manager with ordering product
- Assist as needed for store success
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of product rotation
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
