Job Description
As a Senior Reliability Engineer at Lunar Energy, you ensure power electronics and battery systems for home energy products last throughout design lives, impacting sustainable futures by electrifying homes. This involves refining reliability targets during phases, analyzing failure modes with DFMEA, tracking performance metrics like replacements and complaints, collaborating with finance on warranties, and conducting root cause analyses on test returns or field samples to improve products in virtual power plants.
Lunar Energy transitions homes to 100% clean energy, making electricity greener, air cleaner, more secure via global clean products. Fast-growing, they build battery systems and power electronics for resilient communities.
In this job, you collaborate with mechanical, electrical engineers on targets, provide DfR inputs, drive DFMEA for risks mitigation, develop ALT plans using physics of failures for PCBAs and components, track metrics for growth, drive failure analyses for containment actions. Interactions include design teams, finance for warranties, with a constraint of requiring deep physics knowledge for MOSFETs, capacitors, inductors, analysis techniques like microscopy, SEM, X-ray.
Salary $135,000 to $165,000, based on experience. Work full-time remote or onsite, standard hours, no travel specified. Benefits: medical, dental, vision for you and dependents, flexible PTO plus 10 holidays, 401(k), paid parental leave (12 weeks birthing, 6 weeks non-birthing), subsidized EV charging, pre-tax commuter.
