Adolescents in residential treatment receive structured support to build emotional regulation and family skills through Nurtured Heart and ARC interventions. This role facilitates daily activities like meals and groups, ensuring safe environments for pregnant women with trauma histories.
The Center for Great Expectations delivers relational recovery programs partnering with Rutgers University for pregnant and parenting women. Located 15 minutes from Rutgers, they focus on community integration in social services fields with full-time and per diem shifts.
Associates conduct room checks, administer medications with supervision, transport residents using NJ drivers' licenses, organize psychoeducational groups and chores, document outcomes in logs and incident reports, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for conferences. They facilitate fire drills, maintain records per regulatory agencies, and participate in training enhancing teamwork. One challenge involves multitasking across shifts while handling crisis interventions in group settings with flexible community needs.
Compensation includes competitive salaries with flexible per diem options. Positions operate in residential facilities near Rutgers without specifying remote work. Schedules follow full-time Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm with potential overtime adjustments. Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school or high school equivalency diploma
- 1 year experience working with youth in group settings
- OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree in social work or psychology
- OR Bachelor's in unrelated field with 6 months experience
- Current NJ driver's license
- Age 21 or older
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
