Work entails sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors and surfaces, restocking soap and paper towels, operating scrubbers and extractors, cleaning windows with squeegees, removing trash and shoveling snow, setting up conference rooms, and maintaining locks and lights. Custodians interact with students, staff, and visitors while following safety protocols. A constraint includes maneuvering equipment in confined campus areas without direct lift assistance.
Pay rate starts at $14.00 hourly, limited to no more than 20 hours weekly. Location involves on-campus assignments in Laramie, Wyoming. Schedule is flexible, primarily Monday to Friday, with no weekends required. Benefits include health programs and paid time off via employee assistance services.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize common areas, offices, restrooms, and meeting rooms
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and restroom products
- Operate custodial equipment like automatic floor scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors
- Clean windows, remove trash, shovel snow, and perform outside clean-up
- Set up conference rooms for meetings
