Daily tasks involve developing key messaging segmented by audience and executing campaigns across digital, social, and print channels. Collaboration occurs with teams like Advancement and Content to align branding on programs and events. Oversight includes media relations coordination with University Communications and benchmarking performance via research tools like surveys and industry standards. A key challenge involves generating revenue through annual goals while managing budgets for marketing expenses and external partnerships.

Compensation ranges from $108,000 to $118,000 annually. This hybrid role requires on-campus presence 3-4 days per week in Washington, DC. Full-time hours total 35 per week. Responsibilities

  • Develop consumer marketing and branding to raise regional and national profile
  • Create key messaging using audience segmentation
  • Implement targeted marketing campaigns to support goals and events
  • Oversee all marketing collateral and presentation development
  • Collaborate with Annual Giving colleagues for unified journey
  • Develop campaigns and promotion designs
  • Identify and execute ad buys
  • Assist and collaborate on promotion of nationally syndicated programs
  • Ensure consistent and accurate messaging internally and externally
  • Develop external and internal communications strategies
  • Oversee all copywriting and editing for marketing
  • Identify creative approaches like newsletters and annual reports
  • Manage media relations in collaboration with leadership and University Communications
  • Perform market research and analysis on programs and benchmarks
  • Work with stakeholders on audience growth
  • Assist in building and managing department budgets
  • Manage staff including part-time designer and writers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience preferred
