The position supports the honors program by managing student initiatives and performing administrative tasks that enhance campus honors activities. Assistants organize events and handle correspondence, directly contributing to student engagement and program success. Assistants correspond with students and staff via email and phone, use word processing software for typing documents, and maintain filing systems for records. They enter data into spreadsheets, conduct small research projects, and display confidentiality in all interactions. Work involves using Word and Excel programs daily, organizing schedules, and collaborating with team members on initiatives. Assistants must work independently with a friendly attitude and handle varied tasks without close supervision.
The role pays $12.00 hourly, with eligibility for overtime, and requires working 10 hours per week on campus with no remote options. It targets UND students with Federal Work-Study status. Assistants complete a criminal history background check and verify identity and eligibility to work in the US. No benefits are provided, and visa sponsorship is supported for continued employment.
