Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical support for food and beverage applications, including formulation development, pilot trials, and commercial scale-up
  • Collaborate with Sales and Go-To-Market teams to identify customer needs and recommend tailored ingredient solutions
  • Travel with Sales to customer meetings and represent Hydrite at industry trade shows and technical presentations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technical contacts at customer accounts
  • Prepare prototypes and presentations to showcase Hydrite’s portfolio, including dairy protein optimization, acidulants, sequestrants, and sanitation solutions
  • Support ingredient sourcing and specification development in collaboration with Procurement and Quality teams
  • Maintain accurate records of customer projects and activities in CRM systems
  • Assist in building product documentation, label declarations, and technical data sheets
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment in accordance with GMP standards
  • Serve as backup to the Technical Service Manager as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food product development, technical service, or ingredient applications
  • Experience with dairy, beverage, or meat applications preferred
  • Familiarity with benchtop lab equipment, pilot-scale systems, and analytical instrumentation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and commercial audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM experience a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50% for customer visits, internal meetings, and trade shows
