Job Description

Patients with endocrinology and osteoporosis conditions receive specialized nursing support through clinic procedures and education. Registered nurses provide care via telephone, MyChart, and in-clinic settings, focusing on collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and dietitians. They apply critical thinking to ensure high-quality treatment in outpatient environments.

Work tasks include telemedicine triage, MyChart interactions, assisting with clinic procedures, educating patients and families, and participating in process improvements. Nurses use nursing knowledge in endocrinology settings, interacting with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, dietitians, and medical assistants. Located at Eastpark Medical Center in Madison, schedules run Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with one day off every other week, presenting a constraint of variable operational needs without diabetes care focus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence based, high quality nursing care for patients via telephone, MyChart and in clinic
  • Assist with care coordination and clinic procedures
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and families
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, dietitians, and medical assistants
  • Participate in process improvement and quality initiatives

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
