Actuaries model full risk transfers of inforce life insurance and annuities using AXIS software to analyze projections, ensuring deals like reserve financings align with client needs. Holders perform due diligence on data sets, reviewing assumptions and leveraging Excel for scenario stresses. Responsibilities
- Own technical aspects of financial solutions transactions including analysis and modeling
- Perform detailed actuarial modeling and deal modeling
- Conduct risk analysis and due diligence on products
- Support proposal assembly and internal approvals
- Assist with marketing and management reporting
- Peer review analytic processes
- Advance towards higher roles like term sheet drafting and deal leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries
- 5+ years life (re)insurance experience
- Actuarial Modeling expertise in AXIS, Prophet, MG-ALFA, or similar
- US statutory accounting knowledge
- Excel-based modeling experience
