Job Description
Janitorial maintenance workers clean store areas, maintain restrooms, handle laundry for showers, and perform general repairs to create welcoming stops for drivers and travelers. Picking up trash and providing clean facilities contributes to positive guest experiences at travel centers.
Pilot Flying J operates travel centers and restaurants across the country, serving professional drivers, commuters, and vacationers with fuel, showers, snacks, and dining options.
Workers operate industrial equipment like vacuums, mops, scrubbers for surfaces, wash showers, load/unload washing machines for towels, fix small problems using tools, collect garbage from sites, sweep floors. They work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, lifting 50 pounds, walking/standing most shifts, in diverse environments with potential for outdoor tasks or high-traffic areas.
Hourly pay ranges from $13.80 to $20.13, with weekly pay, 15 cent fuel discount, free daily meals, $10 low-cost health plans for full-time, paid time off, family leave; includes wellness program, reward recognition, professional development, 401(k), paid parental leave, adoption assistance, flexible schedules available for full and part-time positions; located at Pilot Flying J travel centers.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining overall cleanliness of the store
- Cleaning showers and restroom facilities
- Washing, loading, unloading towels for showers
- Performing general repair/maintenance of the store
- Picking up and taking all trash around travel center
- Provide excellent guest service through well-maintained facilities
Requirements
- Highly motivated self-starters
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to walk/stand most of the day
- Ability to work flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, holidays
- Experience in similar position preferred
- Knowledge of industrial equipment and ability to fix small problems preferred
