Job Description
This role focuses on performing wet chemistry tests for subjects like food, water, and medicine to verify their safety, authenticity, and accurate labeling at Eurofins. Individuals conduct tasks that benefit consumers by ensuring product purity and reliability in supply chains across industries. The position employs standard lab protocols to analyze samples and record findings in electronic notebooks.

In daily operations, biochemists handle sample receipt, conduct wet chemistry testing, and perform analyses using HPLC, UV-Vis, and capillary electrophoresis equipment. They wash glassware, follow ALCOA principles for data integrity, and document results in electronic notebooks. The work involves supporting different QC labs as needed, collaborating with team members and clients, while requiring the ability to learn new techniques and multitask. One challenge includes maintaining accurate records under various lab conditions, with shifts demanding adaptability to independent tasks or group activities.
The position offers full-time employment with a schedule of night shifts from 6pm to 4am, Wednesday through Saturday, in four 10-hour days. Candidates need to live within a commutable distance of Indianapolis, IN. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physical science such as chemistry or physics, or related field, or equivalent directly-related experience where two years of industry experience substitutes for one year of college
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients
- Self-motivation, adaptability, and positive attitude
- Capability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, and comply with company policies
- Proficiency in IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
