Handling reception duties at the corporate welcome lobby facilitates smooth interactions for visitors, customers, and employees, streamlining operations at Komatsu's Chicago O'Hare facility. This support role manages clerical tasks like data entry and travel arrangements while selling merchandise to enhance revenue. Office operations involve monitoring supplies, coordinating revuesaning, and partnering with teams for positive experiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite adds compatibility for presentations and emails.
Annualized compensation ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, factoring experience. Work arrangement is onsite with standard office hours in a corporate environment, potentially including evenings or overtime for events. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and direct to personnel or department
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls professionally and timely
- Maintain clean, welcoming, and organized reception area and company merchandise store
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures, badges, and security protocols
- Supports MarComm team with merchandise sales
- Perform general clerical duties as needed (data entry, activity coordination, system maintenance, expense reports, travel reservations)
- Schedule meetings, conference rooms, and appointments
- Assist with creating and updating reports, spreadsheets, databases, presentations
- Support HR and management with administrative tasks
- Monitor and maintain inventory of office supplies, place orders
- Coordinate lunches and other employee events
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in office administration, customer service, or related role
- Experience working in a corporate environment preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, friendly, customer-focused demeanor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
