Issaquah, Washington, United States

Job Description

The Associate Project Manager initiates and organizes HR project requirements at SanMar, developing technical solutions and documenting operations to ensure smooth execution. Stakeholders across departments benefit from clear functional guidance and timely issue resolution, enabling efficient HR program rollouts. This role focuses on project tracking and quality assurance to prevent delays in HR initiatives like benefits administration and employee training programs.

SanMar serves the apparel and promotional products industry, helping businesses equip teams with custom merchandise. The company operates from an Eastpointe office near Seattle, supported by hybrid work arrangements. Their market includes enterprises seeking tailored HR processes for employee engagement.

Daily tasks involve creating timelines using Asana, Smartsheet, and Excel for HR projects, inputting workflows and managing resource allocations. Employees draft reports with charts and presentations in formats like PowerPoint, preparing publications for HR audiences. Interactions include coordinating with department heads, tracking progress in meetings, and resolving lower-level issues escalated to the manager. A key challenge is prioritizing multiple HR tasks in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining documentation standards.

Compensation ranges from $32.56 to $38.46 hourly, with eligibility for an annual bonus up to 10% of base salary. The role offers paid time off up to 112 hours yearly, plus 8 holidays and one family day, accrued weekly based on hours worked. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k with 1-for-1 matching up to 4% of earnings vested at each pay cycle, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and paid maternity or paternity leave. Employees receive pet insurance, and professional development includes compliance training and process improvement workshops in a moderately quiet office setting with standard 8:00-5:00 PST hours and quarterly travel.
