Job Description

Adult urology patients receive high-quality care through telephone and electronic triage provided by experienced registered nurses. Registered nurses use the nursing process to assess needs, deliver evidence-based education, and coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams. This hybrid role focuses on outpatient urology support with opportunities for remote work after initial training.

Daily tasks encompass providing nursing care via telephone and MyChart, managing assessments for clinical decision-making, and guiding patients and families. Nurses establish care coordination goals with providers and families in a multifaceted team. Work proceeds in a hybrid model at 1 S. Park St. Clinic in Madison, with MyChart and phone systems as key tools. Constraints include a schedule from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, no weekends, and dependency on operational needs for remote frequency after 6-8 months.

Full-time 100% FTE with 8-hour day shifts between clinic hours, offering a hybrid arrangement. Located at 1 S. Park St. in Madison, Wisconsin, with potential remote work. Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence based, high quality nursing care for adult urology patients via telephone and MyChart
  • Determine patient care needs by use of the Nursing Process as a framework for assessment and clinical decision making
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team for consistent and positive patient outcomes
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and families
  • Establish goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and/or other care providers

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Relevant RN experience Preferred
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • Applicable clinical certification Preferred
