Job Description
Occupational therapists perform home visits to assess and treat adult and geriatric patients in Marlborough, Southborough, Framingham, and surrounding towns. Patients receive rehabilitative therapy to improve muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, verbal skills, and activities of daily living. Interventions include environmental adaptations to enhance independent living and equipment recommendations for better outcomes.

Role activities involve conducting evaluations of functional status in homes across geographic territories. Therapists develop individualized plans after assessments of cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects, then revise plans while participating in multidisciplinary teams. They educate patients and families on self-care through training sessions and document all observations, evaluations, and treatments on touch pad tablets.
The position offers flexible full-time schedules in Marlborough, Southborough, Framingham, and surrounding towns. Compensation ranges from $62.00 to $68.00 per point based on qualifications. Responsibilities
- Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
- Perform thorough evaluations of patients’ functional status including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, and activities of daily living
- Assess cognitive, psychological, and motor aspects of performance and develop individualized intervention plans
- Evaluate home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living
- Identify equipment needs and environmental adaptations for enhanced outcomes
- Revisely care plan and participate with nursing in multidisciplinary plans
- Educate patients, family members, and representatives on health safety and living activities
- Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations on touch pad tablet
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapist license
- Minimum 1 year experience as Occupational Therapist
