Overseeing childcare operations at Excel Learning Centers shapes young children's futures through Montessori-inspired education and growth support. This role collaborates on programming and family communication, ensuring safe, stimulating environments that build cognitive and social skills for infants to school-age kids in diverse households.

Work involves planning environments with lead teachers, managing physical care and supervision, ensuring compliance with classroom procedures and licensing, observing and documenting child developments, maintaining safe clean spaces, preparing reports on care, modeling prosocial behaviors with positive discipline, building respectful relationships with families, discussing progress in meetings, communicating with staff, projecting professional values, attending trainings and conferences, and staying open to new strategies from leadership.
Pay ranges from $17.25 to $19 per hour based on experience and education. Location at unspecified site, with no nights or weekends, standard childcare hours. Responsibilities
- Coordinates with lead guide to plan and prepare environment using Montessori/RIE principles
- Managing physical care of children using techniques
- Ensure daily care by following procedures and licensing guidelines
- Ensure visual supervision and child safety at all times
- Observing and documenting observations regularly
- Preparing and maintaining environment based on needs
- Maintaining safe, clean organized classroom
- Provides daily reports to parents on diapering, sleeping, eating
- Models appropriate pro social behavior and redirects with positive discipline
- Form relationships respectful of differences and diversity
- Meets regularly with co teachers to discuss observations, design, planning, challenges
- Provides developmental reports and conducts conferences
- Communicates important information to co teachers
- Keep up with training hours and certifications
- Be open to applying new strategies
- Attend faculty meetings regularly
Requirements
- At least 18 years old with HS diploma or GED
- EDU 119 and 12+ hours ECE coursework or enrolled
- Experience teaching young children
- Love for teaching young children and growth support
- Ability to meet state and federal licensing requirements
