Job Description

Communication managers develop newsletters, emails, Slack posts, intranet articles, and videos to engage Tanium's global teams. Their content informs employees about business updates, leadership decisions, and internal initiatives. Managers support executive communications, measure engagement metrics, and optimize strategies for company-wide alignment.

Tasks involve creating content for channels like The Weekly newsletter, optimizing intranet governance, supporting events with materials, advising teams on messaging, managing editorial calendars, developing plans for announcements, analyzing feedback, streamlining processes, and ghostwriting for executives. They collaborate with HR, IT, Legal, and Finance functions. A key aspect is balancing multiple priorities in fast-paced technology environments.

Annual base salary ranges from $70,000 to $210,000. Hybrid work requires office presence in Addison, Bellevue, Durham, Emeryville, or Reston for three days per week. Responsibilities

  • Create content for newsletters, emails, Slack, intranet, and videos
  • Manage The Weekly newsletter planning, execution, and measurement
  • Oversee intranet design and governance
  • Support All Hands, Kickoff events with content and materials
  • Advise teams on tone, messaging, timing, and channels
  • Manage editorial calendar and develop plans for announcements
  • Analyze metrics and feedback to optimize strategies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Support executive communications with ghostwriting

Requirements

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or English
  • 5 years in corporate communication or similar role
  • Background in internal and executive communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including SharePoint and PowerPoint
  • Marketo and Canva experience preferred
