Job Description

This role creates marketing campaigns for fiction and nonfiction titles using social media, direct tactics, and digital platforms to engage audiences and boost sales across Random House, Hogarth, Dial Press, and One World. It builds brand awareness by analyzing data from sales insights and executing strategies that expand author reach.

Penguin Random House operates nearly 300 imprints worldwide, specializing in trade book publishing for all ages, with offices in New York, London, and Sydney.

Leaders oversee campaign implementation, manage teams of direct reports, build editorial and sales partnerships, and use Excel, PowerPoint, Canva for deliverables. They collaborate with authors, agents, and leadership in New York offices, navigating tight deadlines in dynamic markets.

Salary ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, plus bonus based on results. Hybrid work requires commuting from tri-state area to 1745 Broadway. Full-time schedule includes in-office author and agent meetings. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage marketing budget
  • Identify and implement innovative tactics

Requirements

  • 15+ years in marketing, at least 5 in senior leadership
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva
  • Knowledge of Adobe Workfront and Creative Suite a plus
