Job Description

Assisting the Facility Security Officer in managing daily security operations, NISPOM compliance, and intelligence community directives ensures secured facilities operate without breaches. This role mitigates risks through assessments and proactive measures, protecting sensitive GD business unit functions and supporting contractor relationships across DoD and DCSA guidelines.

Typical duties involve overseeing security for NISPOM and ICD compliance, managing DD254s, operating physical security concepts to improve postures, identifying and mitigating risks via assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations like FISMA and industry standards, maintaining facility profiles, submitting change conditions and FCL packages, working with GD Program Managers on policies, conducting self-evaluations and audits, in-processing employees with NDA executions and clearances, initiating clearances in DISS, implementing foreign travel briefings and debriefings, sustaining inventory management for classified materials, coordinating with agencies for clearances, managing intrusion and access control systems per standards, evaluating vendor security, maintaining emergency plans, investigating violations, and reporting incidents.

Salary ranges from $52,900 to $88,100, position based in Fayetteville, North Carolina, following standard business hours with potential extended shifts. Benefits include health insurance, paid leave, and retirement options tailored for federal contract roles.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily security operations, ICDs and 32 CFR Part 117 compliance for secured facilities
  • Manage, interpret, generate, and monitor contractual DD254s
  • Operate physical security concepts to improve security in-depth posture
  • Identify security risks and vulnerabilities through regular assessments and take proactive measures to mitigate them
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations, such as NISP, FISMA, or other industry-specific standards
  • Maintain security program compliance including managing NISS facility profile, submitting changed conditions packages, FCL Sponsorship packages, and responding to FCL packages
  • Sustain centralized ticketing system to monitor client requests and services
  • Maintain relationship with multiple DoD Agency Representatives, DCSA Representatives, prime contractors and subcontractors
  • Work with GD Program Managers in establishing security policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Conduct self-evaluations and readiness for audits by DoD and IC
  • Conduct in-processing of new employees to include SF 312 NDA, PARs, and vetting processes
  • Initiate personnel clearances and process VARs in DISS and all applicable documentation
  • Implement foreign travel briefing and debriefing processes
  • Sustain efficient classified material management, inventory, and control
  • Coordinate with government agencies for clearances and personnel
  • Manage intrusion detection and access control systems per DoD and UL 2050 standards
  • Evaluate third-party vendor security
  • Maintain emergency response plans
  • Investigate security violations, document, and report
  • Maintain security documentation and records

Requirements

  • Secret clearance required, eligible for TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years relevant experience or master's with 3 years, or 8 years equivalent experience
  • At least 4 years in security principles covering physical, information, and personnel aspects
  • Proficiency in DISS, NBIS, e-QIP, and NISS
  • Experience interfacing with DCSA and government representatives
  • Working knowledge of NISPOM and DoD regulations
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in secure facility management across security disciplines
  • Strong personal motivation for skill adaptation
  • Organizational skills with MS Office proficiency
