Job Description
This position supports smooth store operations by processing transactions that allow customers to make purchases and inquiries without delays. By handling refunds, processing money orders, and providing postal services, it ensures customers leave with positive experiences from accurate and efficient service.
Harmons operates grocery stores across Utah and surrounding areas, focusing on high-quality food products and customer experiences. The company offers a range of dairy, bakery, meat, and produce items, with customer service as a core value.
Staff count Guest Services inventory at shift start and end, prepare cash deposits, sort coins, and fill in-store loan requests using tills and registers. They interact with customers for refunds and negotiations, cash registers for Foodie Club cards, and communicate with store associates via phone and in-person. One constraint is maintaining balanced tills without overages or shortages under cashier oversight.
Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $18.52 per hour. Work occurs full-time in a grocery store environment with ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. Benefits include health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off once eligible.
Responsibilities
- Process refunds
- Provide postal services

- Answer phones and provide faxes
- Cash payroll checks
- Sell balloons, hunting and fishing licenses, movie tickets
- Provide and track shrink guns and bean hats
- Count Guest Services inventory at beginning and end of day
- Prepare cash deposits
- Prepare new tills
- Roll loose coins and sort cash
- Provide loans to cashiers
- Handle money and give accurate change
- Ensure pricing accuracy
- Understand and apply policies for checks, gift cards, WIC checks
- Assist with go-backs
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic math skills for making change
- 10-key skills
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Strong communication skills including verbal and listening
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
