The Manufacturing Planner assesses vendor capabilities to develop production plans at SanMar, optimizing for efficiency and margins. Apparel manufacturers benefit from streamlined garment production processes, enhancing speed and cost control. This role ensures plans account for dept-specific efficiencies like sewing and knitting, integrating buyer feedback for Honduras offices.
SanMar provides apparel and promotional items, supporting enterprise branding initiatives. They partner with global vendors, using analytics for capacity tracking. The company emphasizes product flexibility in supply chains.
Employees review capacities in decal or deck meetings, lead vendor conversations on production efficiencies, and create lens-based plans with margin strategies. Work involves mapping centers to track vendor trackers, forecasting sales metrics, and developing analytics for execution. Coordination includes Honduras merchandisers for priority alignment. A key challenge is balancing multiple garment production aspects like fabrics and stitching under time pressure, adapting independently.
Annual compensation ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, with a potential bonus up to 10% of base salary. PTO accrues bi-weekly up to 112 hours yearly, including 8 holidays and one family day.
