Responsibilities
- Maintain friendly efficient positive customer service attitude towards customers, clients, co-workers
- Responsive to customer needs
- Safely transports patients and belongings, medical records, specimens, equipment to areas
- Safely move patients with IVs, drainage apparatus, oxygen excluding blood transfusions
- Use electronic devices or computers for calls and requests, notify dispatcher, proceed as instructed
- Follow procedures to verify proper patient by checking two identifiers
- Transport patients on admissions and discharge, assist into out of vehicles at entrances within safety limits
- Adhere to policies addressing confidentiality of patient information
- Transport decedent bodies to morgue timely, ensure proper documentation
- Adhere to established systems and training programs to provide safe working environment
- Follow OSHA regulations and other local, state, federal regulations
- Maintain compliance with Aramark standards, Business Conduct Policy
- Maintain all records and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, federal regulations and codes
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to communicate fluently in English
- Aptitude to remain calm in stressful situations
- Proficient in handling time constraints
- Common sense understanding to follow written or oral instructions
- Adaptable and responsive to change
