Oversees electrical and mechanical infrastructure upgrades in data centers to ensure reliable operations for mission-critical sites. Project Engineers solve problems like equipment failures that affect uptime for clients, preventing costly downtime through expert planning and execution. Engineers prepare designs, specifications, and drawings for electrical and mechanical systems using AutoCAD and MS Project. They manage RFPs, lead teams of subcontractors, and coordinate installations of UPS systems, circuit breakers, and HVAC units. Work involves evaluating building controls, fire systems, and security protocols, while interacting with contractors, vendors, and clients. Supervise on-site activities, maintain records of cabling and emergency generators. Constraints include physically demanding tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and working in controlled temperature environments with loud noise levels.
The role requires travel as needed for client sites, with shifts adapted to project demands. Compensation is not specified, but eligible positions may include bonuses based on performance. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years experience in data center, pharmaceutical, hospital, or mission-critical industries
- Technical proficiency in planning and scheduling
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, building controls, fire systems, security systems
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD desired
