InnVest Hotels

Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance & Repair Technician Full Time Mid-Level From $58,000
Seattle, Washington, United States

Job Description

Hotel maintenance engineers keep guest rooms, public spaces, and equipment in perfect condition, ensuring smooth operations for hotels that host thousands of visitors annually. This role addresses the need for reliable facilities so guests can focus on relaxation rather than broken locks or clogged drains. Engineers use tools like wrenches, drills, and cleaning fluids to perform repairs on plumbing systems, air conditioning units, and electronic locks.

InnVest Hotels operates boutique properties inspired by founder Bill Kimpton, connecting people through hospitality in cities like Seattle. The company celebrates diverse talents, fostering a quirky and genuine environment where employees drive unique impacts on coworker and guest lives.

Daily tasks involve inspecting heating units, maintaining televisions and phones, programming electronic lock systems, and repairing furniture and wall coverings. Technicians interact with inspectors, manufacturers, and team members to resolve nonconformances using tools like 5 Whys and fishbone diagrams. One challenge is working varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, while adhering to local codes for plumbing and tile repairs.

Compensation ranges from $25 to $29 per hour for full-time shifts of 5 days per week from 7A-3:30P or 2:30P-11P. Location is Kimpton Hotel Monaco Seattle at 1101 4th Ave. Benefits include free parking, dry cleaning for uniforms, hotel and restaurant discounts across Kimpton and IHG, paid time off with rollover and paid holidays after 90 days, medical and dental plans, short and long-term disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
